any teacher that would like to add a law component to their civics, government,
political science or lower related classes. Each issue provides the teacher
with timely coverage of four recent federal and state court cases.

through May each year.

questions to aid him preparation and classroom use.

Courtroom & Classroom.
Permission is granted to reproduce the newsletter for use in the classroom.
Where do the cases
come from?
Cases are
selected from both state and federal courts from across the country.
Generally, four or five cases from the United States Supreme Court are
covered each year. The remainder
of the cases are selected from the federal Courts of Appeals, federal district
courts and state appellate court systems.
How do you select the
cases?
One of the most
challenging aspects of publishing Courtroom
& Classroom is the selection of the cases.
In order to select appropriate cases, the
Courtroom & Classroom editors do a lot of research, both online and
in print. There is no set
curriculum in the selection of cases.
Cases are selected, first, to spark the student interest.
We strive to take cases that the students will find interesting to them.
Then, we try to include cases that will be valuable to the students in
their education as young citizens.
The final criteria is that the cases be current.
No cases older than six months are included in any particular issue.
