Courtroom & Classroom utilizes current cases -- not history -- to teach students basic principles of law and to illustrate how those principles are applied in today's society.

     You will be prepared quickly and easily for lively classroom discussions. The simple straightforward format of Courtroom & Classroom allows the teacher to be ready for class with a minimum of preparation time.

Each case is presented in four subdivisions:

1. Summary. A concise summary of the court's ruling allows the student to quickly understand the holding in each case.

2. Background. Historical facts are provided to tell the student circumstances giving rise to the case.

3. Analysis. A discussion of the rationale for each ruling allows the student to critically examine the court's thinking.

4. Excerpts from the Judge's Opinion. Direct quotes from the judge's opinions are included so that students get to read the actual language of the court.
